Before the workshop

1/ Are there any prerequisites in painting or drawing to participate in the workshops?

All our workshops are open to beginners. On site, you will be advised. The team is available to help you, do not hesitate to contact us!

2/ Are there several of us who have booked? Will we be seated at the same table?

We place reservations with the same name at the same table. If there are several of you and you have reserved under different names, please let us know by email here .

3/ Are the workshops open to children?

Ceramic painting workshops are also very suitable for children.

Ceramic painting is done like painting at home. To make a piece independently, we recommend from 7 years old. Below this age, the help of an adult may be necessary. Our paints are non-toxic, lead-free, and can be easily cleaned with water.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult participant.

The turning workshops are open to ages 15 and up.

4/ Do I need any special equipment to participate in the workshops?

For ceramic painting, all the materials are provided. The paint can be cleaned with water but aprons are available at the ceramic cafe (as long as they are available). For throwing and modeling, we advise you to come in suitable clothing and without manicures (a messy activity, even if it comes off in the washing machine!), as well as to each come with a tea towel, and if possible, an apron or smock.

5/ I am on the waiting list. Am I guaranteed a place?

Our website offers you to register on a waiting list when the selected workshop is already full. Your registration on the waiting list does not guarantee you a place: you will be notified by email only in case of cancellation for the desired workshop.

If a place becomes available, all people on the waiting list will receive an email inviting them to book online: first come, first served!

6/ I have a gift card, how do I use it?

Your gift card has 16 characters. If you do not see all 16 characters, we recommend using another mobile or computer. To use this amount, choose your workshop or product online, then insert your code in the box provided to deduct the amount from your gift card.

Gift cards are valid for 1 year and can be used once or several times.

7/ How do I modify or cancel my reservation?

Reservations can be changed/cancelled within the following timeframes:

  • Ceramic painting workshops up to 24 hours before
  • Brunches and aperitifs up to 48 hours before
  • Other workshops (kintsugi, modeling, turning, mosaic), up to 7 days before.

These deadlines allow us to contact people on the waiting list. Any cancellation request after these deadlines will not be compensated.

All changes are made exclusively by email.

15/ What is the difference between the natural clay kit and the self-hardening clay kit?

Cooking
Self-hardening clay does not require firing at 1000 degrees. It dries in the open air in 24 to 48 hours. Clay (earthenware) requires firing in a potter's kiln, up to 1000 degrees, to solidify the pieces.

The decoration
Classic clay (earthenware) is decorated with specific ceramic paint (engobe or enamel), then must be varnished (transparent enamel), and put back in the oven at 1000 degrees to finalize the decoration. Self-hardening clay, on the other hand, can be decorated with acrylic paint, and protected with a transparent varnish, and does not require any cooking.

Use of parts
The pieces made of self-hardening clay are not compatible with food use. Those made of earthenware, once glazed and fired at 1000 degrees, can be used daily, dishwasher safe guaranteed!
